The bed has a curved headboard upholstered in boucle, mohair, or a fine-rib velvet — warm in tone, tactile in texture. Bedding mixes smooth and nubbled: a sateen base sheet, a waffle-weave duvet, and a single fold of cashmere or merino at the foot. Nightstands are asymmetric and interesting: one could be a sculptural ceramic stool, the other a fluted plaster pedestal.

One piece of art on the facing wall — large, original if possible, and genuinely loved — anchors the room's identity. Pendant lights in an organic sculptural form hang on either side of the bed.
